Beyond Migration: Report Distribution & Collaborative Commentary in Power BI Migration Series - Part 3

Many Power BI migration projects successfully rebuild legacy BI reports but fail to replicate the operational workflows business teams rely on every day. Scheduled distribution, bursting, and in-report collaboration are often the last mile of migration, and where adoption either succeeds or stalls.

This session, the third in Inforiver’s Migration Series, focuses on completing that last mile through two capabilities that operationalize enterprise reporting workflows in Power BI: the Inforiver Scheduler and Inforiver Commentary.

Large organizations migrating from SAP BOBJ, IBM Cognos, or any other legacy BI platform depend on scheduled publications and bursting to deliver hundreds of reports across teams, departments, and external stakeholders. We will demonstrate how the Inforiver Scheduler enables:

• Automated distribution of paginated reports in PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, and image formats to email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
• Bursting of a single report into multiple parameter-driven outputs for personalized delivery at scale
• Workflow automation that integrates scheduled flows into existing enterprise pipelines without disrupting current processes

We will then turn to Inforiver Commentary, a collaborative layer built directly into Power BI reports. Business users can add comments directly on cells, rows, or columns, mention colleagues, assign tasks, and maintain contextual threaded conversations, with email notifications keeping stakeholders engaged throughout the reporting cycle.

Attendees will learn how to migrate enterprise reports to Power BI without sacrificing distribution, collaboration, or self-service. The session will include a live end-to-end demo of enterprise report scheduling, bursting, and collaborative workflows in Power BI, followed by an interactive Q&A to address your questions on migration and closing the gaps in enterprise reporting within Power BI.
